Corona treatment

Surface treatment to reduce surface tension and increase adhesion

WE-T6

Applicable for

When the surface tension of the object material is too large and the ink cannot adhere, use this treatment machine to do surface treatment first to increase the adhesion of the ink.

The heat energy temperature generated by the corona treatment machine is lower than that of the flame treatment. It is used for surface treatment of lighter and thinner objects or materials that are not resistant to high temperatures.

I. Product Specifications & Parameters
II. Environmental Operating Standards
Operate in standard environments only. Use in the following conditions is strictly prohibited:
III. 4 Key Operational Points for Corona Treatment
  1. Precision Power Control: Higher is not always better; excessive power can damage the material's microstructure. Accurately calculate Watt Density to ensure even energy distribution.
  2. Real-time In-line Processing: Treatment effects decay over time. For best activity, In-line treatment immediately before printing or coating is recommended.
  3. Stable Tension Control: Maintain strict control over winding tension to prevent film wrinkling or uneven discharge caused by electrostatic adsorption.
  4. Substantive Testing: Do not rely solely on equipment settings. Regularly use Dyne Pens to physically test surface energy and ensure quality standards are met.
IV. 3 Variables Affecting Treatment Results
V. Safety Operating Procedures for Corona Treatment
Due to high voltage and chemical reactions, the following safety protocols must be strictly followed:
